The Meezan Industry Fellowship Program (MIFP) is a strategic initiative designed to foster collaboration between academia and the Islamic banking industry. It provides faculty members with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, engage in applied research, and bring industry-informed insights back into their classrooms — bridging the gap between scholarly knowledge and real-world Islamic finance practice.
Engage directly with Meezan Bank's key departments and gain exposure to core banking functions and decision-making processes.
Collaborate with banking professionals to conduct research addressing current industry challenges, supported by the Bank's resources.
Receive an official certificate from Meezan Bank upon successful completion of the fellowship program.
Build long-term professional relationships with Meezan Bank, creating opportunities for future projects and thought leadership.
Bring industry-informed insights back into the classroom, enriching teaching with real-world Islamic finance practice.
Fellows on the research track may publish work as case studies, white papers, or articles in academic and industry journals.
Fellows are placed in departments aligned with their academic background, research interests, and professional goals. Each placement is carefully matched to maximise both contribution and learning.
Full-Time Faculty: Applicant shall be a full-time faculty member at a reputable university.
Qualification: Preference given to PhD holders. However, candidates with at least a Master's degree or those currently enrolled in a PhD program are also eligible.
Academic Record: Applicants should demonstrate a strong academic record and evidence of interest in Islamic banking, finance, or applied industry research.
Teaching Experience: A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required.
All selected fellows are required to be physically present onsite for the duration of the fellowship. Fellows must comply with Meezan Bank's internal policies and uphold its values and professional standards throughout the program. Please note that Travel Allowance (TA) / Daily Allowance (DA) are not applicable for this program.
